When you really get to thinking about it, there is magic in photography. It is the win all or lose all of a new brand. Launching a new brand and business has definitely been one of those monumental moments and rightfully so... a camera was involved.
Photographer Colleen Duffley is always gracious, witty, amusing and entertaining to work with and she was there to document the beginning of a new start. It's a new year and a new business and we were excited.
The day started with my home full of laughter, excitement and anticipation of what was to be. Nothing better than a group of friends, new and old along with my dog Mackerel making it happen. The photo assistant dodging Mackerel's stinky pile that I had forgotten to pick up that morning as he schlepped in lights and equipment. Colleen checking everything to assure it's picture perfect and her infectious laugh when she finds humor in something she wants to document. My partner in crime making me laugh as she does most of the time...honestly she makes me laugh until I have tears in my eyes.
Shot by shot we knew we were in good hands so we didn't fuss, worry or over style. Mackerel was the biggest hurdle, him being camera shy and all. His idea of a good time was going for a walk...

That's Mackerel wanting his leash, begging for a walk in the middle of all the hoopla.
When we were finished and all the shooting ended, the anticipation of seeing the images was like waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve when I was 6. And the images did not disappoint. Check out our new website here jnjhomeinteriors.com
I thank my friend Colleen for helping us get this far and if her photography could talk, it would say we have won it all!
